Using Ephone

For the Regular User or City Employee

Ephone has two main screens:  Employee Directory and Department Directory

Clicking on Employee Directory link will bring up all the employees in the city that the regular user is permitted to see from the internet (external to the city) or a city employee can see (internal to the city). It also lists their locations, department they work in, and telephone number.  They are listed by last name.  A sample is shown here:

You may reorganize this list by clicking on the column headings to resort by that heading.

If one clicks on the bold face last name they will get a screen that lists more pertinent information about the user:

On the main screen there is also an alphabet bar at the top to search by first letter of last name to break down the list of employees into smaller batches.  You may reclick the Employee Directory link at the left of the screen to return to the entire list.

Also as you can see above, there are links to print the list out in HTML (white paper version) of the employee directory listing or you can get a PDF version (assuming a version of Adobe Reader 6.0 or higher is installed on your pc) either by Dept. or Employee.

The other part of the program is the Department Directory selectable from the link at the left side of the screen.  It displays all the departments in the city as shown with their locations and telephone numbers.

This too is searchable from the alphabet bar at the top or printable in white paper form.  You may also sort by the column heading just by clicking on that heading.  And you may also click the Printable Version link at the top to get a paper copy.

If you click on the bold face name of the department you get the list of employees who work in that department, the department’s location in the city and main phone number.

Again clicking on their last name brings up their pertinent information.

If you click on the little blue word [Divisions] beside the department name you get the names of subdivisions within the department and their numbers.  The Fax numbers are in RED.
